Questions about scheduling security guards
Can one schedule cover several sites and posts?
Yes. Set up your sites and the posts each shift needs, and the schedule shows who covers what, and which posts are still open, across all of them.
How do I make sure only qualified guards are placed on a post?
Each guard has positions and skills, such as armed guard, patrol or supervisor. The engine assigns guards only to posts that match them, and you can add rules for specific employee groups, like no night shifts in a row for new guards.
A guard called in sick an hour before the shift. What now?
Open the shift and EZShift suggests the guards who fit it, based on the same rules and preferences as the automatic schedule. You can also offer it as an open shift in the app. Every change is checked against your rules, and the guards are updated at once.
Can guards clock in only when they are at the site?
Yes. Clocking in from the app can require the guard's location. Guards can also clock in with an NFC tag at the post or with a time clock.
Can new guards sign their onboarding forms in the app?
Yes. With the digital forms module, contracts, procedures and other forms reach new guards in the app automatically. They sign on their phone, a signed PDF is saved, and you can see and remind anyone who hasn't signed yet.
We schedule hundreds of guards. Does it fit on one board?
Yes. Some of our customers run several hundred employees on a single board. Group it by position, hide the names to see coverage only, filter to one site, and highlight one guard to see where they are qualified to work.
